Responsible for development and editing company policies, procedures, guidelines, bulletins, presentations and other technical documents for use by company, as well as internal and external business partners throughout the organization. This may include development of training and instructional materials, FAQs, procedural guides, etc.
Research, review, and propose policies using policy management best practices, including electronic and automated approaches to the development, maintenance, communication and certification of policies and procedures.
Schedule review meetings, update content, organize documents on a company file repository.
Develop and utilize flow charts, policies and procedures, controls and report templates.
Conduct research by interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing existing documentation, and blend information from the system or product being documented.
Design and utilize workflow tools to help access, create, modify, review, and approve policy and procedure documents in a controlled manner.
Translate information of medium-to-high complexity into clear, concise documents which are appropriate for various targeted audiences.
Prepare, edit, and deliver all documentation in accordance with existing editorial styles and document templates.
Follow documentation projects through to completion, including approval signoff, publish and disseminate throughout the organization to include, branches and brokers.
Deliverables will include; policy and procedure documents and templates, communications, methods for auditing responding and reporting, evaluation and improvement suggestions, information and records organization and cataloging.
Attendance: This is an 8 am to 5 pm internship position that requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience commensurate with pursuit of a college degree in any related field.
Recent experience with policies and procedures analysis and documentation development experience.
Knowledge of Information Technology, Medical/Healthcare, and/or HIPAA terms is a plus.
Strong writing and editing skills and experience.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong analytical skills, problem solver, and take initiative on projects with limited supervision.
Proficient working on multiple concurrent projects, while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Successful completion of any professional references or background checks required by the company.
