Myspace is seeking a motivated, candidate with impeccable judgment to act as a our Policies and Protection Coordinator. The position would report directly to the Sr. Director of Customer Experience but would closely work with Product and Legal to develop the proper tools and relationships to ensure a safe and secure experience for our users on the Myspace platform. The position is for a coordinator role, but has the opportunity to grow into a manager position given the right candidate.
?Set up the proper reporting channels for users and third parties to communicate with Myspace personnel regarding policy and safety related issues.
?Define and implement a short and long term strategy to handle privacy and safety on the Myspace site.
?Create and manage the long term strategy regarding privacy and protection
?Interpret performance metrics and its impact to the user experience on the site
?Working with a cross functional team to make sure that the necessary content related to privacy, safety, and policy is available to users and third party organizations.
?Oversee and build relationships with partners
?Work with the Director of Customer Experience to help build an comprehensive education initiative for parents, families, and schools.
?BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
?Experience working with applicable laws and policies regarding privacy and online safety.
?Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks while managing their work time efficiently
?Understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices
?Skilled in various computer systems, Internet technology and software (PC, Mac, MS Office, online research, etc.)
?Comfortable in a fast paced, ever-changing, start-up culture
?Stellar communication skills, both writing and verbal
?Outside of the box, innovative thinker who can take a strategy, and execute on it
?Minimum 2-3 years experience
