Scope of Position
Vocera's Clinical Applications Specialist will be part of the Sales Organization. This position will be responsible for assisting with new account development and facility expansion through clinical process consultation and solution demonstration for Vocera's Federal accounts. The Clinical Applications Specialist will work with customers to enhance their understanding of the value and benefit of Vocera in their healthcare environment. Other duties include assisting with the clinical discovery process and defining requirements for services proposals, providing input on sales support presentation materials, and supporting tradeshows and professional conferences. This position will report to the Chief Nursing Executive.
Responsibilities
- Assist sales team with sales calls, conference calls, and clinical discovery sessions to accelerate new account development and expansions
- Understand the Federal customer's requirements and assist sales team with developing proposals for solutions and services
- Provide consultation and assist sales team in responding to RFPs and writing services engagement letters
- Communicate and demonstrate clinical solutions value statement, options for workflow design to optimize customer's environment, and clinical education services to prospective customers
- Support tradeshows and professional conferences for Federal accounts
- Establish and maintain relationships with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals in the healthcare community
- Stay current with nursing profession as it relates to national trends, care models, clinical initiatives, and clinical outcomes.
- Maintain open communication with Chief Nursing Executive, Sales and Professional Services Teams
- Document consultation with sales team and customers in Salesforce.com
- Communicate in a timely, consistent, and clear manner
Education, Skills, Experience
- BA/BS required
- Registered Nurse with active license
- Five plus years of nursing practice in an acute care hospital within the US Armed Forces
- Experience and demonstrated success in clinical workflow assessment and sales preferred
- Excellent teamwork and relationship building people skills
- High organizational skills and flexibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and ability to use MS Office
- Interest and desire in using technology to improve healthcare practices and productivity
- Ability to utilize resources appropriately and problem solve independently
- Enjoy extensive travel throughout North America - primarily East Coast
