Pre Sales SE Vocera Communications

SE's are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the Vocera sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Vocera. The SE must be able to articulate Vocera's technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. SE's must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
Location: South Central US - TX, OK, MO, KS (near a major airport)
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout the US territory required visiting customers
- Listening to customers and using active listening to understand, anticipate and exceed their technical needs
- Work with the Area Sales Managers and Health System Directors in persuading customers that the Vocera product will best satisfy their needs in terms of functionality and technical fit
- Qualifying the customers infrastructure via onsite wireless reviews using Airmagnet Surveyor, WiFi Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer tools
- Designing the Vocera architecture for the customers deployment
- Preparing customer technical readiness reports and handing of project to professional services team for deployment
- Searching for new customers through interaction with Installed base that could benefit from company products
- Performing technical presentations to groups and demonstrating how Vocera will meet customer needs
- Building and maintaining a close relationship with customers
- Solving customer problems by working closely with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments such as: research; design; development; production; professional services, distribution; quality assurance; as well as senior company managers
- Provide input into Marketing Roadmap and offering field input into the design of new functionality
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Responsible for development and delivery of high-level product demonstrations
Education, Skills & Experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 plus years of relevant experience in technical sales or pre sales role with a minimum of 2 years enterprise 802.11 Wireless and LAN/ WAN networking experience
- CWNA, CWSP, CWNE preferred
- Hands-on experience in Wireless design and Surveying using AirMagnet suite of tools
- Hands-on experience in decoding sniffer traces
- Hands-on experience in designing / administering controller based wireless solutions
- Experienced with PKI infrastructure design
- Experience with Enterprise Software application delivery
- Experience and familiarity of Business Process Management desired, application server experience ideal
- Six Sigma, Business Process Improvement training, a plus
- Hands-on experience with Windows server platforms
- Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of back office (databases, management tools) and front office (workstations, software distribution) technologies
- Self starter and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate professionally with customers, partners and corporate interdepartmental team
- Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in response to voice mails, emails, RFPs and when submitting reports
- Candidate must be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- Strong writing skills
