Scope of Position
The Solutions Marketing Manager will be responsible for the outbound solution marketing activities for Vocera. They will work closely with product management and sales to craft the messaging and positioning for these solutions. The ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer solutions and benefits is crucial. The Solutions Marketing Manager will be the expert in Vocera customers, how they buy, and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the Vocera field sales team. They will also be the expert in competitive analysis and will take the lead in defining pricing for the solutions.
They will work with product management, marketing communications, sales and services to deliver a complete solution to the market including software, hardware, services, and training. This position will report to the Director of Solutions Management.
Responsibilities
- Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates our solutions in the market
- Communicate the value proposition of the solution to the sales team and is responsible for the development of the sales tools that support the selling process. These include, but are not limited to: sales presentation, demo strategy and scripts, training
- Develop and drive the launch of new solutions/products and releases and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan along with the marketing communications team.
- Manage competitive analysis, is the expert on our competition and develops the necessary strategy to win.
- Assists with the creation of marketing collateral (including solution guides, positioning materials, and white papers) in collaboration with product management and marketing communications
- Develop in partnership with marketing communication and coordinated with sales promotional materials and lead generation campaigns to attain company growth targets
- Understand the buyer and user personas as well as market trends affecting our customers through market research
- Creates and disseminates win-loss analysis
- Supports sales with general questions and RFP responses
Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred
- 5-7 years of strong marketing knowledge/experience in healthcare, healthcare IT preferred and/or wireless technology
- Experience in product marketing within a solution selling organization
- Deliver results with minimal supervision, while being a team player
- Strategic thinker, but detail oriented
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to communicate professionally with customers, partners, and internal cross-functional teams to include but not limited to sales, product management, marketing communications, development, finance and executive management to meet the needs of the business
- Successful history of achieving stretch goals and objectives
- Travel: 25% or more
