Post-Production Intern Howcast Media

Howcast is set apart by our pursuit of the very best video content. We produce our own video content in our New York City studio with cutting-edge directors as well as through the Howcast Emerging Filmmakers Program, which provides emerging filmmakers with the opportunity to gain experience, exposure and a paycheck. We also welcome stellar instructional content from trusted sources like Playboy, Popular Science, and Home Depot, as well as from some of the best individual video contributors on the web.
Role

Post-production interns will draw on and further develop a strong foundation in Final Cut Pro creating assets and managing media. Responsibilities will include:

Working closely with both Howcast Studios filmmakers and members of our Emerging Filmmakers Program to find solutions to editing challenges

Polishing technical elements behind the scenes (transitions, text, etc.) before videos go live on the site

Working across multiple video formats to prepare Howcast content for our distribution partners

Opportunities to take on more creative projects in shooting, editing, and/or design as time and interest will allow.
Skills

-
Knowledge of Final Cut Pro (PC-based editing programs like Adobe Premiere a plus)

Keen attention to detail and good organizational skills

Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a sense of humor in a busy media production company setting.
