The postdoctoral fellow (PDF) is expected to acquire skills and in-depth knowledge of radiopharmaceutical development and cGMP manufacturing of radiopharmaceuticals during appointment. In turn, the PDF is expected to apply these skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to Avid Radiopharmaceuticals? radiopharmaceutical development program.
The initial appointment for this position is 1 year and is renewable up to 3 years based on mutual agreement.
Duties include:
?Applying acquired skills and knowledge during appointment to develop small molecule fluorine-18, iodine-123 and iodine-125 labeling methods.
?Applying acquired skills and knowledge during appointment to manufacture of radiolabeled compounds to support in-house and/or external research collaborations
?Applying acquired skills and knowledge during appointment to manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and non-clinical (development) use
?Learn development of quality control methods for radiolabeled molecules
?Learn and perform quality control analysis of batches prepared as required
?Learn development of qualification/validation of manufacturing methods
?Learn and perform qualification/validation of manufacturing methods as required
?Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical reports
?Assist in daily laboratory operations
?Maintenance of a well-organized data filing system
?Become proficient in cGMP Practices
Requirements:
Qualifications:
?Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry (or related field).
?2+ years of experience in radiopharmaceutical research is desirable
?Working knowledge of HPLC, and other analytical techniques such as LC/MS, GC, NMR, is required
?Demonstrated ability to work independently in a highly focused manner
?Strong organizational skills
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?Experience with pharmaceutical cGMP/GLP, ICH, FDA guidelines is desirable
?Knowledge of organic synthetic chemistry is required
