We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a full understanding of and strong capability for synthetic organic chemistry. A passion for synthesizing diverse organic compounds with biological applications is essential. Will work in a dynamic team where creativity, passion and learning are core values in the development of innovative new research products.
This scientist will be an integral part of a multifunctional team of biologists and chemists that drive the discovery and development of new technologies for life science research. Interest in a broad range of scientific topics along with the ability to apply them to ongoing research is expected. The postdoc will be responsible for basic research projects to address important biological questions. The scientist will also be expected to publish their research findings in appropriate scientific journals and present them at scientific conferences.
The postdoctoral term is 2 years.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related discipline.
Broad knowledge and experience in synthetic organic chemistry required. Knowledge of fluorescence and luminescence desirable. Interest in biological applications is essential.
Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, demonstrates collaboration and independent thought. Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts required.
Experience with standard characterization techniques required (NMR, UV-VIS, LC-MS, etc.)
