PR Manager Bleacher Report
Bleacher Report and Turner Sports is seeking a seasoned, dynamic PR Manager to serve as leadership in the following areas:
Strategy Development & Implementation: Working in tandem with the Turner Sports public relations team, create and implement a communications strategy for Bleacher Report ? a top sports media destination ? that leverages key industry events and product launches, editorial opportunities and more to generate proactive, impactful publicity for the brand. As the communications contact embedded in the site?s San Francisco office, serve as the on-site contact for executive management and their teams, playing a key role in meetings and overall strategy development.
Spokesperson Management: Position senior management as experts, and prioritize speaking appearances in their respective fields through media interviews, speaking appearances and professional award opportunities; responsibility also includes message creation, speech writing and presentation development. Serve as the main point person on site for any media appearances and interviews.
Content Publicity: Develop, manage and execute consistent publicity outreach for major editorial initiatives featured on the site; position core base of lead writers as experts in their respective fields and generate impactful coverage opportunities that will expand the reach and perception of the Bleacher Report brand.
Communications Team: Work closely with the overall communications teams across Turner Sales, distribution and sports to leverage, develop and execute publicity initiatives that showcase the strength of the Turner portfolio, including initial announcements and ongoing PR activities. Serve as the communications representative for the brand and Turner at various events ranging from sporting events, technology and media conferences, etc.
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years of work experience in communications field
- Proficiency in social media tools & platforms
- Experience working with high-level executive teams
- A background in working with sports or technology media
- Four-year undergraduate degree (communications/liberal arts related field)
