Responsibilities
Deal with crisis communication, media relations, management, publicity, electronic communications and participation in foundation on community outreach initiatives
Develop, implementing and managing ongoing communication programs to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external constituencies
Interact with the medical professional media, patients, vendors, government officials, and other external audiences
Secure senior management buy-in when taking positions and also build internal consensus.
Track emerging issues and assesses their potential impact on Airbnb; maps key stakeholders and builds coalitions to drive Airbnb 's public policy agenda.
Handle day-to-day media inquires and briefings.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, design, and community teams to develop all communications materials necessary to launch new products and features.
Develop written materials, story pitches, messaging guidelines, press releases, Q&As, presentations and speeches.
Work with company spokespeople to prepare them for public speaking engagements, media interviews, and company meetings.
What We?re Looking For
5+ years public relations, marketing and/or communication experience with consumer and consumer Internet companies
Bachelor?s degree in communications or related areas required; advanced degree(s) desirable
Interest in emerging technologies and related policy issues such as privacy, online safety, innovation, advertising, intellectual property, and industry best practices
Experience in technology policy preferred
Ability to integrate public policy with business strategy and corporate development
Understanding of current technology-related issues and applicable regulatory and self-regulatory regimes
Advanced degree in related field or law degree preferred
Superb written and oral communications skills
Excellent writer and communications skills
Detail oriented and strong organizational ability
