Redfin's mission is to reinvent real estate in the consumer's favor, and we?re building a world-class public relations team to tell our story. Newspapers, websites and broadcast media cover the housing market every day, and Redfin has the goods to be the go-to, authoritative real estate source. The company is seeking a PR Specialist, reporting to a Senior PR Specialist on the team. This person would focus primarily on regional media relations in several major U.S. markets that Redfin serves, as well as play a role in major company initiatives. We are looking for someone ambitious and driven, who loves PR, and who has an interest in becoming a real estate expert in no time.
Required experience:
One to three years of PR experience.
Real estate, economics, technology or other data-driven experience a plus.
Bachelor?s degree.

Here?s what you?ll do:
Support Redfin?s efforts to gain recognition as an authority on local real estate in markets Redfin serves by securing coverage for Redfin?s Real-Time market reports to local reporters.
Partner with the real estate data team to identify new real estate trends, gathering agent anecdotes and analyzing data to back them up.
Determine ways for Redfin to comment on national real estate news from industry organizations.
Establish and own relationships with targeted journalists, both regional and national trade, and serve as a resource for ideas and data.
Create and manage media opportunities for Redfin?s real estate operations professionals, including media preparation and follow-up.
Develop newsworthy ideas to promote Redfin?s website and mobile features and tools.
Support the marketing team?s efforts related to company positioning and branding.
