Practice Management Associate Axiom Law
Axiom, a new model professional services firm and a revolution in the legal industry, is seeking a Practice Management Associate to join our Chicago team.

This role requires very strong communication and writing skills, a tremendous amount of initiative and organizational skills, and a desire to work in an innovative, entrepreneurial environment and grow a business. The Associate plays an integral role in the overall success of the company and our ability to expand our business within the practice?s client base ? legal departments of leading public and private companies with operations in and around Chicago.
Reporting to the Chicago Practice Manager, the Associate will:
Partner with the Practice Manager to develop and execute a strategy for practice growth (e.g. conduct client research/prospecting, prepare client pitch materials, prepare comprehensive client relationship binders and manage/track client prospects)
Personally drive revenue growth, with ownership for expanding existing relationships and engagements
Serve as the initial point of contact with new clients by providing an introduction to our business model and assessing their needs
Oversee the day-to-day activities for a portfolio of clients and existing engagements:
Effectively build client relationships
Select the Axiom Attorneys that best fit new client engagements
Coach and manage Axiom Attorneys to ensure their success and satisfaction with their Axiom experience
Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction with existing engagements; manage challenging clients and resolve issues
Analyze the operational metrics critical to the success of each engagement and address issues to keep performance on track

While not a pure sales role, this position requires the confidence to contact experienced professionals and speak to them about what we do in a credible and compelling way.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
At least 2 years of client-facing business experience that demonstrates a commercial mindset, such as
Executive-level sales, business development, consulting and/or account management experience in a top-tier professional services firm and/or
Successful work experience as an attorney at a top tier law firm and/or in-house corporate law department. Significant client interaction (internal or external) is required
Keen ability to focus on clients? needs and consistently raise the bar on service excellence; demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
Significant project management experience, meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to use logic and reason to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
Proactive, proven leader, with the strong ability to coach and mentor others
Ability to thrive in both individual and team environments
High-impact written and oral communication and presentation skills
High degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and PowerPoint)

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Education
Bachelor?s degree required
