Overview:
The Director, Pre-Sales Consulting expands SciQuest business through collaboration with Sales. Participates in the creation of the vision for projects delivery and through Client Delivery Managers ensures the effective development and delivery of the projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
Involved in presales activities related to services in support of:
RFP response
SOW authoring and scoping
Delivery of implementation approach overview and presentations regarding services
Involved in Proof-of-Concept activities to assist sales in closing deals
Conduct a Focus Group to address some of the specific requirements
Work closely with Solution Engineers to assess unique customer needs related to services
Right-size the services offering based on customer needs
Engage with clients and prospects as needed throughout the sales process to facilitate the sale
Support Project Managers and provide technical guidance and coaching proactively as well as in response to situations, which arise at client sites.
Position Requirements:
Background in relevant system implementations, delivery, and services
Proficiency in procurement industry and solutions preferred
Sound appreciation of the delivery phases of a project
Excellent presentation and verbal / written communication skills
Good project coordination skills
Multi-task
Prioritization
Self-motivate
Strong communication / messaging / influence
Travel will be up to 40%. Domestically and internationally.
