Pre-Sales Engineer KEMP Technologies
KEMP Technologies is a market segment leading manufacturer of server load balancing appliances and software. We are currently adding to our team of experienced Pre-Sales Engineers to support our sales efforts in North America.
A pre-sales engineer is the cornerstone of the technical sales negotiation. As a pre-sales engineer you will be responsible for helping drive revenue by supporting the business development team from a technical level.
Support the account managers by developing a firm understanding of their customer?s technical dilemma(s) and providing a sound technical solution.
Quickly identify whether or not KEMP?s product line will be able to solve the issues being presented by the customer.
Provide live presentations of the product interface to both end users and KEMP partners.
Help create RFP and RFI responses.
Participate in monthly partner training presentations.
Travel with field account managers to on-site sales negotiations, partner trainings, and trade shows.
Desired Skills and Experience
3+ years in a technical pre-sales role, preferably in the networking and/or servers industry.
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of network and server technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deliver in-depth technical knowledge in person and virtually.
Familiarity with products and technologies in the Microsoft UC space
Travel is required (determined by location and business development needs). 40% + valid U.S. Drivers' License required
In-depth understanding of Internet related protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc?)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Lync, and/or Microsoft SharePoint. (highly preferable)
Experience creating network diagrams (Microsoft Visio).
Experience with Cisco?s UCS Platform (highly preferable)
Experience serving in Technical Team Lead / Technical Working Manager capacity (highly preferable)
