Pre-Sales Engineer MIR3
MIR3 is is seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Engineer with proven experience in enterprise level software sales. This position requires a highly articulate, well-organized, and self-motivated individual who can excel in an hyper-growth, dynamic market. In addition, the candidate must have outstanding written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to work closely as a team member. The candidate will report to the Director of Pre-Sales Engineering, and will work with both the direct and channel sales teams to bring in new business, drive revenue, and serve as a technical resource in all aspects of the sales process. While individual contribution is key in this role, the ability to work with a variety of other departments as a team player is equally critical.

Experienced enterprise software sales background
A passion to solve customer explicit needs and map solutions to those needs
Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts in Business, Computer Science or equivalent, Masters Degree preferred
5+ years pre-sales engineering experience for software companies and ideally having worked for entrepreneurial firms
Responsibility of supporting quota carrying sales team and ability to help drive sales - understanding of the sales process and has worked with Major F500 accounts as well as channel partners
Position requires supporting onsite POCs, must be experienced in implementing software
Strong technical background ideally with telephony and wireless technologies. Knowledge of the ITSM markets a plus
Understanding of industry standard applications from HP, IBM, Microsoft, BMC and others
Knowledge and understanding of the indirect channel model and subscription software (SaaS)
An understanding of the communications/telephony or broad knowledge of the notification marketplace and technology platforms and solutions
Has a clear understanding of Web Services (SOAP/REST) and other API methodologies
Strong understanding of computer object oriented programming and program languages (PHP, PERL, Python, JAVA), with an understanding of telephony infrastructures and wireless services
Experience in emerging entrepreneurial or early stage companies is a plus
Additional Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
Must be willing to work in our San Diego, CA facility full-time
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background
Must be 18 years of age or older.
