The Pre Sales Representative's role is to execute managed business-to-business conversations (by phone) to gather actionable sales intelligence from prospects. Pre Sales Representatives must possess strong phone skills and experience in the areas of lead generation, account development, inquiry management, and lead nurturing. They must be proactive with a positive/ team-player attitude.
Primary Duties:
The Pre Sales Representative is accountable for gathering business environment data, positioning client product benefits/features and qualifying prospects need, authority, timeframe to purchase and budgetary information. Pre Sales Representatives conduct appropriate and professional lead generation calls; enter information received from the phone call into a proprietary database to ensure that all prospect information is captured accurately and promptly; meet or exceed required output levels. Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
Pre Sales Representative Skill Pre Requisites:
A minimum of 1-2 years outbound marketing-by-phone experience; preferred 1-2 years Inside Sales experience and/or specific lead generation experience
An aptitude to learn technical product information
Ability to be persistent, self reliant, and enthusiastic
A team-player attitude; strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate confidence and be success orientated
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel)
Strong spelling and grammar
Strong organizational skills
Pre Sales Representative Education and Experience:
Marketing or Business degree, or related experience in either sales or marketing fields (preferred)
High School diploma required
