The Opportunity
Eduventures is searching for a creative and client-focused Principal Analyst/Consultant to provide thought leadership for its work supporting leaders of teacher preparation programs. This is an exciting professional growth opportunity for a mid- to senior-level teacher education professional seeking to apply and broaden their experience at a fast-paced, professional consulting and research organization. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert with broad and deep knowledge of teacher training and certification, assessment, administrator preparation and evaluation, education policy, and reform initiatives, with experience working with leaders of departments, colleges, and schools of education. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to frame research findings as actionable recommendations to drive improvements to school of education operations and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Principal Analyst/Consultant role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Working directly with an institutionally and geographically diverse range of clients with both regional and national markets and impact to assist them in:
Implementing best practices for developing a comprehensive and marketable portfolio of programs and courses
Understanding and navigating the overlap, complementarities, and divergences of university-based and non-university based teacher preparation models
Providing business and market insight to manage their organizations successfully
Staying ahead of changes in teacher preparation trends, regulations, and best practices and interpreting their implications for leaders of teacher training programs
Developing cutting-edge tools and resources for teacher and administrator preparation professionals
Leading the development and execution of an annual research agenda, including actionable major investigations and frequent webinars on the topics of greatest interest to clients
Managing qualitative and quantitative primary research to analyze the key trends and challenges facing teacher education professionals and to deliver solutions to clients
Developing and nurturing client relationships
Representing Eduventures at industry events and to the media
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree; graduate degree highly desirable
7+ years relevant experience working directly with leaders of departments, colleges, or schools of education
Strong analytical abilities and aptitude for using data to inform decision-making
Demonstrated knowledge of teacher and administrator training and certification, assessment, education policy, and reform initiatives
Interest in advising clients from a wide range of institutions and in developing new products and services to help them meet emerging challenges
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills and ability to execute and deliver high quality and on-time research for clients
A creative, business-oriented mindset and strong client service ethos, with a strong interest in growing a business unit focused on serving teacher preparation professionals and institutions
Well developed client relationship management skills
Exceptional writing and presentation skills; ability to scope and frame issues
A strong communicator of information in a variety of settings
Strong project management skills
