Yankee Group is seeking a Principal Analyst who brings positive attitude, excellent writing skills, and experience in mobile marketing and commerce related topics with specific expertise in Mobile Advertising.
Yankee Group is looking for a Principal Analyst with excellent communication and market research skills to act as both an analyst and a thought leader producing written deliverables, consulting and presentations for Yankee Group clients. The Principal Analyst will lead Yankee Group's Mobile Marketing and Commerce coverage including topics related to mobile marketing, mobile commerce, mobile payments, and mobile loyalty. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience or expertise in the areas of mobile advertising and proximity marketing as we have identified this area to be of greatest opportunity and need based our current in-house skills. This role will be expected to define and execute our Mobile Marketing and Commerce research agenda and continue to help differentiate our research value proposition with customers and prospects. This candidate would be expected to lead syndicated and custom business development efforts in collaboration with Yankee Group sales.
Ideally this candidate will have a mix of technical, business, marketing, and operational experience working in the field of Mobile Advertising. This candidate will help provide insight for Yankee Group clients into market advertising trends including Ad Networks, In-App Search and Display Advertising, Mobile Ad Delivery and Measurement and Mobile Search.

Overall leadership of Yankee Group's Mobile Marketing and Commerce Advisory Service.
Winning industry recognition as a thought leader in mobile marketing and commerce strategy.
Demonstrating leading, organizing and motivational skills a team to effectively and efficiently produce high-quality/high-value reports
Building efficiencies and teamwork in a collaborative environment
Designing the research plan and model
Designing and helping others design new surveys
Leading the outline of consulting project proposals and proactively creating marketing opportunities
Researching and publishing high-quality reports and blogs in the Principal Analysts? field of expertise.
Producing quality consulting deliverables for Yankee Group vendor and service provider clients
Communicating research findings to clients and industry groups via thought-provoking and insightful presentations
Acting as an expert resource to the press for intelligence on industry trends
Responding to inquiries from Yankee Group clients on issues related to mobile marketing and commerce
Developing, maintaining and managing models, forecasts and monitor instruments for key technology categories
Driving business development opportunities by translating research and analysis into consulting and custom research opportunities
This person will also be present at Yankee Group events and be heavily involved in consulting business development and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of progressive experience working in mobile marketing and commerce with specific expertise in mobile advertising realm including Ad networks (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft), In-App Search, Mobile Advertising Strategies, Advertising delivery and measurement techniques.
Specific requirements include:
Writing Skills: Must possess excellent written communication skills. Candidate will be expected to present research findings, actionable recommendations and advice to clients via concise and compelling research reports and blog entries.
Presentation Skills: Must possess excellent verbal communication skills. Candidate will be expected to present research findings, actionable recommendations and advice to clients via executive presentations, consulting engagements and regular interactions with press and media.
Organization and Planning Skills: Must be able to plan and manage individual workload in a coordinated effort with team members to reach internal and external deliverable goals and timelines.
Research and Analytical Skills: Must be proficient at primary and secondary research, with experience in consulting. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SPSS and/or MarketSight is a plus.
Management Skills: Must have experience hiring and leading analysts, including coaching and developing research skills, accountability and other important qualities. Must have experience collaborating in a team and working with managers as peers in leading the larger organization.
