Principal Data Scientist (Big Data) Roamware
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position reports into the Vice President - Big Data & Analytics at Mobileum and will closely work with the solution architecture, product management, and engineering teams, to isolate correlation between data elements inthe context of a given problem. He/she will define the solution model, which will be used for designing the final solution.
Understand requirements of Big Data and find solutions in line with the product strategy. Experience in taking ideas from proto-typing to productization.
Use coding & programming techniques, advanced analytics,quantitative analysis, data mining, techniques, modeling to find solutions by analyzing Big Data.
Work with complex data and find the patterns, insights based on the data and be confident to present your findings to external and internal customers.
Provide leadership and technical expertise in creation and delivery of technology solutions, architect, design, build and maintain large-scale computing solution.
Develop productized and customized Big-data and analytic solutions leveraging enterprise environment, while pushing the limits of data processing algorithms, statistical modeling, and high performance computing.
Develop solutions that enhance and drive improvement efforts as a result of your analysis; design and develop statistical models based on the operating needs of the organization.
Diagnose complex technical problems and identify their root cause. Work on large data sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data to discover data insights and collaborate with business partners to deliver business value through these insights.
Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, computer science, or related fields (Masters degree required, PhD preferred).
Mathematics - Probability, Linear Algebra & Optimization is a must. Optionally statistics.
Strong experience in several of the following techniques: Bayesian modeling, multivariate regression, logistic regression, machine learning, cluster analysis, decision trees, time series analysis and forecasting, factor analysis, structural equation modeling, item response theory, Markov chains, and data visualization. Good understanding of dimensionality reduction (using PCA etc.) is a must. Exposure to NLP will be preferred.
Tools & Languages: Should know Matlab well. Experience in Python, Perl and Java is a must. Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis tool such as R, SAS, or SPSS.
Extensive experience solving Big Data, analytic problems using quantitative approaches and a proven passion for generating insights from data.
Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume (large data sets), high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods generally, andparticularly in the areas of modeling and business analytics.
Minimum 10 years of related work experience
