Allegro seeks an experienced Principal Consultant. Principal Consultants serve as subject matter experts or lead consultants on software implementation projects and are responsible for the overall quality of the project. These are customer-facing positions and significant travel is required.
. Challenges of the position include:
Working as a consulting team member or an individual consultant on for-fee product implementation, integration, or software upgrade projects.
Responsibility for the overall quality of the technical solution delivered to the customer.
Serving as an energy industry subject matter expert in field of expertise as it relates to business software functionality. Expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the implementation of Allegro?s proprietary software products.
Acting as point of contact between the implementation and R&D team. The Principal Consultant feeds information from the field back to R&D and is responsible for getting field knowledge feed back into the development cycle.
Staying on the cutting the edge of new market development and of product development. Acting as the design authority on the project. Principals are responsible for solutions and ensuring the solution matches customer objectives.
Educating the team in best practices and taking on responsibility for mentoring others.
Qualifications for consideration:
Ideal candidates for Principal Consultant will have extensive experience in the energy industry, particularly energy trading, physical movement of commodities, and energy risk management.
Candidates are self-starters that can work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a subject matter expert yet able to wear many hats - not afraid to take on new items outside core strengths. Able to develop creative solutions for solving business issues and is willing to roll-up sleeves and dig to find/create solutions; gets the job done no matter what.
This is a direct client-facing role with responsibility for the quality and integrity of deliverables within scope for enterprise software implementation. Experience with other energy trading and risk management (ETRM) or related systems, particularly software implementation experience, is highly desirable.
Dynamic and credible presence, outstanding communication skills and the ability to lead, train, and mentor others is a must!
