Rearden is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to work on building out our Experimentation Platform. The platform enables Rearden to test, iterate, and validate the impact of innovation through cutting edge experimental and analytical techniques. You will work with Product Management, Managers, Engineers, QA and Operations teams to design and develop the next generation experimentation platform.

• Research, design, develop and maintain the set of tools and instrumentation needed to manage experiments on our web and mobile applications.
• Define the overall process for creating an experiment from inception to completion of the experiment.
• Evangelize the importance of experimentation, and coordinate with teams to insure accurate metrics.

• At least 8 years of Java Experience experience in design, coding and unit testing of scalable,
• distributed, web applications. Expertise in Java is required.
• At least 8 years of Web Application development experience, with an emphasize on User Experience and usability.
• At least 3 years of Experimentation experience.
• Knowledge of concurrency, systems and framework programming, and computer science fundamentals.
• Good design Skills and Object Oriented techniques. Ability to write code with an eye on quality and performance.
• Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as working jointly with other team members to deliver complete applications.
• Define, architect, and implement simple/complex experimentations
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in Experimentation, statistics, web analytics, and data analysis.
• Complete buildout of a Experimentation platform in previous role.
• Knowledge on identifying crucial metrics to properly measure the success/failures of each test.
