Principal Flex UI Engineer Greenplum

Immediate opportunity for a talented Flex UI/UX Engineer to join our team of software professionals in developing the Greenplum Database, a massive scale parallel database and information processing platform. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the next generation UI for the Greenplum Data Computing Appliance and database monitoring system. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of the user experience as well as clean, intuitive UI's.
Job Focus and Responsibilities:

• Technical leadership for the next generation user interface architecture and design
• Invent, design, and build Flex based widgets and tools as well as Eclipse-RCP based components
• Gather, implement, and test critical system requirements
• Architect UI-oriented user stories
• Ensure on-time, high-quality execution of above work
• We're serious about quality. You will also be required to write unit tests, create automated regression tests, contribute to QA test plans, and track/fix defects

Desired Experience

• Experience in using Flex and Action script
• Proficiency in UI technologies including Flex, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, CSS, JSON, and REST
• Deep understanding of web applications
• Expertise in cross browser development and Web usability and interface design
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for building great software
