Principal Hardware Design Verification Engineer (FPGA) Crossbeam Systems

Crossbeam seeks a Principal Hardware Design Verification Engineer responsible for verification of current and next generation very large scale FPGA?s. The individual must be capable of handling lead responsibilities for verification, must be motivated, self managed, and organized, to operate cross-functionally within engineering, and other departments within a small high growth company. The individual must be committed to quality and working with a team to execute an in-depth DV test suite to insure designed-in quality.
As a member of the hardware engineering team, this DV engineer will contribute to design verification architecture, current and next gen product specification and development. A working knowledge of network protocols with technology implementations and large scale custom and commercial IP is required.
Desired experience and skills include:
Project-task management including scheduling and reporting.
Good oral & written communication
Leadership of small teams
C, C++, scripting, Linux, general s/w knowledge
Verilog/System Verilog
Networking protocols & technologies including Ethernet
Data path protocols: Interlaken, PCIe, SPI4, etc.
Phy/Mac layer technologies including Ethernet 1G/10G/40G
Altera & Xilinx FPGA technologies
Board level & system verification
Logic design using Verilog HDL a plus
Intel Architecture a plus
Experience working with diagnostics packages is a plus
Crossbeam develops high performance security application equipment for major enterprise and carrier networks. The products employ state-of-the-art data-com and computer technologies that are both custom and standard product operating in the 100?s of gigabit range. The individual will develop excellent exposure to high performance security equipment and play a contributing role within a privately held high growth company selling product to the security market and additional market applications with excellent growth.
This position will report to the director of hardware development.
Education Required:
BSEE or equivalent, MSEE/CE/CS a plus
Experience Required:
10?15 years hardware design/verification in data/telecom
