The Cyber Security Engineer establishes and satisfies system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Provides leadership and guidance in the development, design and application of solutions implemented by more junior staff members. Coordinates with senior representatives within the customer organizations to address program goals, milestones, resources and risks. Applies expertise to common user information systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. Provides work direction and guidance to other personnel; ensures accuracy of the work of other personnel, operates under deadlines, able to work on multiple tasks.
The Cyber Security Engineer has IT experience with Cyber Security Policy and threat mitigation. Must be well versed in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Must have familiarity and experience in the implementation of cyber security regulations.
Education:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical disciplines.
Experience:
10 years experience in INFOSEC technology, policy and procedure development and implementation on major industry and Government programs/efforts.
Skills:
Experience in the analysis of general INFOSEC-related problems
Experience in providing basic engineering and technical support in solving identified INFOSEC problems
Expertise in or knowledge of (depending on contract requirements):
DNI technologies
Service-Oriented Architectures
OOA&D
XML
SDH multiplexors
Scripting (bash, Perl or Ruby) etc.
Knowledge of Federal, NSA, Intelligence Community, and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Licensures, Certifications:
Certification might be required, depending on program requirements.
Security Clearance:
Top Secret/SCI w/Active Polygraph required.
