Position Description
The Principal Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) position will be responsible for development of advanced visualization of circuit analysis capabilities within the company?s Analog FastSPICE? Platform. The successful candidate will have a strong GUI, visualization and infrastructure background. The PMTS will be responsible for developing new features in the company?s WaveCrave? waveform processor and the Analog FastSPICE environment. A qualified candidate should have a proven track record of efficient, high-quality software product implementation, preferably in EDA domain.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance waveform and circuit analysis visualization features.
Specify, design and implement GUI components to realize these visualization features.
Participate in development of the overall Analog FastSPICE Platform environment.
Maintain and enhance product software architecture.
Improve software engineering processes.
Independently solve problems and exercise judgment to improve product usability.
Work with Application Engineering and Marketing to define product features.
Participate in fixing GUI related defects reported from the field.
Requirements
10+ years experience as a key developer of commercial Qt based GUI products.
Possesses a keen design sense and applies it to enhance end-user experience.
Extensive experience with GUI testing and debugging tools/techniques.
Outstanding programming skills in C/C++ with development experience on Linux.
Strong background in high performance data structures and algorithms.
Solid background in object-oriented design and software engineering processes.
Self motivated individual with excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a worldwide development organization.
MS or PhD in EE, computer science or related area.
Desirable
Experience developing a GUI for analog circuit EDA tool.
Experience developing interactive data exploration and analysis visualization tools.
