Principal Product Manager - Flash Memory Array Violin Memory
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This is a key inbound technical product management role. As a Principal Product Manager, you will have responsibility for defining and driving development of Violin?s Flash Memory Array product line ? with primary focus on hardware. You will manage each product through its life cycle, from development of initial requirements through end-of-life decisions.
Success in this role requires you to demonstrate the flexibility and creativity to thrive in a dynamic, fast growth, startup environment. You must be hands-on, understand high performance storage system architecture, be able to work with existing and prospective customers to define both market and product requirements, and drive cross-functional organizations to deliver new Violin flash memory platforms.
You will develop product strategy, product roadmaps, MRDs / PRDs,
competitive analysis, whitepapers, pricing, positioning, and product revenue plans.
Define product strategy and drive development of the next-generation of Violin flash memory arrays
Define, prioritize and document product requirements for system hardware, storage I/O connectivity, flash management, system availability and hardware accelerated operations
Develop product roadmap and work closely with product marketing and engineering to prioritize feature delivery.
Formulate product positioning and messaging, including customer value proposition and key product features/benefits
Develop business/market plans that articulate the product business case, including: market opportunity, competitive landscape, and customer and got-to-market requirements.
Be an authority and subject matter expert for customers and sales on Violin Memory?s market leading hardware accelerated flash memory arrays
Develop technical focused collateral including Data Sheets, Whitepapers, Demos, and Presentation Materials.
5+ years of industry experience with prior product management or technical marketing
Experience with storage technologies and selling into enterprise storage markets
Demonstrated ability to own and manage product P&L
Bachelor?s degree in computer science required, MBA a plus.
Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
