Position Description
You will be responsible for program management for muliple Newegg projects. You will, run Project meetings, oversee the Scrum Masters/Project managers, ensure project backlogs exist and are prioritized and maintained, build and maintain a master schedule for the assigned products; track and manage and communicate/ in a timely fashion risks, issues, and action items; communicate all upcoming milestones; and raise early warning flags and escalate as needed.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Development, Product Management, other Project Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineering, Marketing, and other groups as necessary, to ensure overall product milestones are met.
Manage the software development process from intake through release, ensuring consistency in use of tools and process. You will also help track project costs as needed, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Create dashboards and monthly reporting mechanisms to communicate the high-level milestones and status to upper management.
Ensure that Scrum sprint Planning sessions, Scrum Sprint Lessons Learned, Project Lessons Learned, Project Demos and Retrospectives are held as appropriate.
Participate in the development of Program Management processes, and apply them consistently to assigned products.
Help build and maintain the Newegg processes for delivering product in a consistent manner. You are responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality.
Perform various management duties such as hiring, firing, reviews, goals and objectives and other duties, as needed
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
BA/BS
8+ years experience in a technical environment
5 years program management experience
3 year people management experience
Solid knowledge of software development and product ship cycles
Scrum Master certification
Strong scheduling skills including developing and tracking schedules
Ability to track product activity from inception to release
Ability to work with customers and manage third parties
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good multi-tasking skills
Presentation skills
Budget management skills
Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and people skills
Strong meeting management skills including scheduling, facilitating, setting clear agendas and communicating accurate meetng minutes in a timely manner
Knowledge of MS Project or similar project tracking tool
Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Tracking Tools such as TFS and Version One
Agile Project Management techniques
MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint
HTML
Attention to detail a must
Teamwork
Abilities Required:
People management experience
Media and web site development experience
Experience in an internet project of some type
Familiarity with XML, Javascript or other scripting languages, SQL, and exposure to OOP and/or Java
Budget responsibility experience
Experience in vendor and contract negotiation
