About the job
This Staff Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with our web, mobile and games teams. This individual will be the creator of our automation strategy across all of GSN Digital. You will interact with not only quality engineers, but also developers, product owners and the operations team to help provide an automated solution to each of our QA teams. Having already implemented several solutions at prior companies, you will bring those solutions as potential solutions here, but also investigate more open source solutions to help evolve our automation in an Agile Scrum environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop an automation test strategy for GSN Digital QA organization consisting of Web applications, Web Services and Game Development (Online and Mobile)
Develop Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Coverage and Test Execution Reports to support the automation effort
Implement Agile testing methodologies, can make and keep time commitments made for each SPRINT
Conduct automation and performance test cycles for Product validation with Product QA teams
Provide and convey Quality metrics consisting of automation and performance test results, as well as test coverage for Product teams
Provide automation direction and leadership to other Automation Engineers and Product Quality Assurance Engineers
Provide feedback concerning completeness, accuracy, reliability and testability of systems prior to and during each test cycle
Coordinate test efforts with QA Manager to ensure testing activities are repeatable and meaningful
Maintain documentation of automation and performance infrastructure to assist in continuous improvement and implementation of automation throughout QA organization
About you
You started as a manual tester because there weren?t many automated solutions yet available. As you progressed throughout your career, you also have....
Spearheaded the implementation of automated solutions in a variety of industries; web, web services and games environments
Worked with QTP and Selenium as tools chosen to help advance from manual testing to more automated test cases
Created your own test tools or plug-ins using C++, JUnit, Perl, C or Python
A hunger for new technologies and automation techniques that you find hard to control
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with at least 7 years as a Lead Automation Architect
Experience designing automation infrastructure in a Web, Web Services and Games Environment o 7-10 years of Automation tools implementation using Selenium, HP Quality Center, or Borland SilkTest tools
5+ years of testing experience using Performance tools such as Neosys Neoload, Borland Silk Performer or HP Load Runner
Experience using a high level coding language such as C++ or Java
Experience creating test scripts using JavaScript, PHP, PERL JSP, or SQL for test generation
Comfortable working in a fast paced Agile environment
Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience creatively solving complex automation problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the US
