Principal QA Engineer Mashery
Your Opportunity at Mashery: As key member of the QA team, design and develop detailed test cases based upon functional and design specifications for SaaS offerings, performing duties as an individual contributor doing 100% hands-on work with minimal supervision.
Architect, design and develop automation suites using Java, Junit, TestNG and Python.
Identify issues while in the design and in development phases.
Perform both script-based automated and functional testing.
Work with development managers to ensure appropriate levels of quality on owned technologies.
Your Talents:
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 7+ years of software Quality Engineering experience
5+ years experience in developing API test cases by using Junit/TestNG.
5+ years working experience in REST, JSON
2+ year experience in leading the QA teams including remote team
Deep knowledge of Selenium IDE and WebDriver automaton tools.
Proficient in Java programing and testing frameworks
Familiariry with Agile software development methodology and testing procedures
Significant black-box and white-box testing knowledge and experience in enterprise application space, preferably in a SaaS environment; experience testing and releasing of highly available/redundant software
Good understanding of database knowledge is a must
Ability to multi task and interface with off-site functions
Proven experience in writing Curl, Shell, Java and PHP scripts to automate/development tools
Strong understanding of UNIX / LINUX Operating Systems
Must have great analytic and troubleshooting skills as well as thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Self-Starter; ability to quickly learn new tools and products
Good team collaboration and strong communication skills
Experience as lead QA Engineer for a highly visible SaaS/PAAS/IAAS product offering a plus
Familiarity with bug tracking, reporting, and verification tools and processes, i.e. Jira, Confluence, SVN, etc.,
