Principal Software Engineer in Test Jawbone

Job Summary:Jawbone is expanding into wearable, mobile lifestyle products. Our products are getting smaller, smarter, and better connected to the world. This is cutting edge technology, in an area that will define the next decade of computing.
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer in Test to be the driving force behind the tools and validation effort for these products. Wearable products have unique quality challenges; the product must work correctly worn by a range of different people in a wide range of operational environments. The possible test matrix is infinite. We need you to be a leader with the ingenuity to reduce this to a tractable problem that allows us to ship a top quality product, and you?ll be hands-on implementing the tools and automation techniques you design. You will also be responsible for assisting with project management as it relates to tracking the quality of the project over time. This position is based in our Seattle, WA engineering office.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 total years of software engineering/QA experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience with network connectivity technologies, particularly bluetooth.
Experience with operating system, device platform and driver testing.
Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills, both oral and written.
The ability to work with the ambiguity of a small project team working on a brand-new project.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated, inventive, and resourceful.
--Travel will be required for this position.
