Principal Solution Architect - Sales and Strategic Account Development Voltage Security

Voltage is seeking a seasoned customer facing technology leader experienced in sophisticated enterprise customers to quickly analyze requirements, consult with key business and technology stakeholders, and develop and propose architectures and technology strategies based on our unique data security solutions. The role reports into the VP of Solution Architects and will have global responsibility for bringing high caliber solutions to strategic clients in to Global 2000 clients and prospects.
You will be a leader capable of gathering in detail, but able to present the creative big picture to deliver high impact, high value solutions to both executives and architects alike, as trusted advisor and the voice of strategic clients. You will be measured on successful customer engagements, and reducing time to market in large enterprise engagements.
You will be a self-motivated, passionate individual who lives and breathes enterprise software technology with particular zest for innovation and market disruption. As a quick learner, you will be able to evaluate customer needs and priorities, evaluate solution options, communicate clearly and articulate the Voltage value proposition to the senior executive and peer architects alike, and quickly establish both yours and Voltage?s capabilities to win the trust of your clients.
To succeed in the role, you will have a background in technology and business consulting or senior customer facing architecture roles high growth enterprise software company.
With the data security landscape changing constantly and with new cloud and mobile initiatives adding new dimensions to the problem of securing data, your knowledge in complex enterprise data systems and emerging technologies with hands-on enterprise architecture experience will set you aside as the ?go to? person who can make solutions work in short order. You will have passion about your business solution, which will be reflected in your approach to quality, detail, and success.
You will have skills in the following areas:
Enterprise software development, architecture and deployment? ideally in enterprise software related to compliance and security (e.g. Identity management, authentication and authorization, encryption, mobility, virtualization, networking, risk management and cloud
Broad technical skills covering PKI, SOA Architectures, Cloud, Big Data, Information and Data Security, Application Architecture and an understanding of Enterprise architectures and development systems and software development lifecycles.
Business decision making skills for laser focused prioritization ? taking business and customer requirements and business problem definitions to quickly propose powerful architectures from your pallet of expertise and Voltage?s technology.
No fear of new, disruptive technical innovation outside the norm and traditional IT landscape
Experience in high growth, emerging technologies and the fast paced exciting environment which comes with it.
Software engineering is a bonus but not expected. However, the ability to engineer and architect a solution to a proof of concept stage is required.
The ability to work with technical peers at customer to get the job done and remove roadblocks

Strong customer facing enterprise architecture skills, pre-sales skills and a crystal clear understanding of complex sales processes and strategic account engagement processes
The ability to work closely with strategic account leads, enterprise sales, technical marketing, product management, services and engineering teams as a true team player to align to successful outcomes in complex enterprise sales cycles.
Be able to quickly evaluate the unique business value of your architecture solutions, and articulate the benefits to customers
Prioritizing strategic engagements to revenue and growth goals
Form trusted advisor status with key prospects and customers during complex sales cycles
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt to a target audience are a must ? public speaking a major plus
