We are recruiting for a Principal Technical Consultant with 10 years? work experience mainly gained in a billing environment. Ideally you will have worked on major delivery programs / projects across BSS areas. You will have a passion for learning and sharing your experience/knowledge, enjoy challenges and influencing business change. This is a customer-facing role is within the Professional Services Group where attention to detail and an eye for quality are pre-requisites. We will provide you with opportunities to travel and the chance to work with some of the leading companies in industries such as transportation, financial services, utilities and telecoms.
Ideally you will be versed in the following:
In-depth knowledge of one or more industries of financial services, utilities, transportation or telecoms/conferencing
In-depth understanding of the design, build and delivery of billing systems
Detailed understanding of BSS and an appreciation of OSS
Network and Infrastructure design
Providing solution leadership on IT projects, throughout the project life cycle. Designing IT solutions to meet client requirements and ensure these are successfully delivered.
Understanding the high-level functional and non-functional business requirements and assess their impact on potential solutions.
Considered as a Subject Matter expert in one or more areas
Excellent customer facing-skills both verbal and written with ability to easily interact at Senior management levels within customer organization?s
Excellent presentation skills
Responsibilities:
Interact with the customer to create technically competent solutions that add value to the customer's market position. The Principal Technical Consultant plans and designs solutions that improve the customers' offerings in terms of quality, functionality, services and ability to provide a platform for future business growth.
Be responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the overall application architecture is maintained. They will be expected to devise architecture and design strategies that improve revenue stream and reduce costs for the customer.
Providing solution leadership on IT projects, throughout the project life cycle. Designing IT solutions to meet client requirements and ensure these are successfully delivered.
Understanding the high-level functional and non-functional business requirements and assess their impact on potential solutions.
Guiding the implementation of the solution design working closely with other design team members such as Technical Architects, System/Software Designers, Business / Functional Analysts.
Working with customer technical authorities or architecture functions to ensure that they have a clear understanding of architecture and design proposals, and that all other standards/constraints within the customer domain have been addressed as required.
Produce top level architecture design / document and ensure approach is in line with technical architecture roadmap, design standards / principles and applicable user interface standards.
Leading estimation efforts at Pre-Sales stage to develop an understanding of potential solutions, associated costs and delivery timelines
Supervise consultants in unit testing and documenting test cases and test execution.
Investigate defect management process in identifying, investigating and resolving defects.
Qualifications:
10 years professional in Billing and Customer Care space
10 years in software systems architecture, design, development and configuration
BS in Computer Science ir Engineering
10 years using C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL/PL-SQL
Strong knowledge of DBMS, specifically, SQL Server and Oracle
Diversified experience with OS, specifically, Windows Server and UNIX/Linux
SOA, BPM, EAI, Data Warehousing
Network and Infrastructure Design
Can travel up to 60%
