Principle Engineer - (Job Code 86 AA) Accumetrics

Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for planning and directing the overall activities for automation and assembly engineering in the research and development of the Company?s new products and processes, as well as in support of existing products. This position is responsible for increasing the yield and making a better product, faster and at a cheaper cost. It also establishes and monitors development practices to be compliant with GMP and ISO 9000 requirements. The position plans and directs the resources of the group in support of existing products and manufacturing/assembly processes.

Job Requirements

BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
10+ years in Engineering
Experience designing parts for injection molding, machining, stamping, and other instrument component manufacturing processes.
Good laboratory skills including assembling and testing prototypes, measuring mechanical properties, developing jigs and fixtures, verifying performance
Strong working knowledge of 3D CAD design including Solidworks a plus
Working knowledge of optics, opto-mechanical assemblies, pneumatics and fluid a plus
Strong working knowledge of medical company quality systems and procedures a plus
Experience with safety and regulatory testing and compliance for medical instrumentation a plus
