The Amalga system aggregates data in real-time from hundreds of clinical and administrative systems and provides doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff with instant access to comprehensive information about their patients. The Amalga platform enables customers and internal/external partners build applications targeted at clinical, research and healthcare administration scenarios. Our customers include some of the nation's premier hospitals and healthcare providers. Our team is in the midst of building V3 of the product and rebuilding the core platform.

We are looking for an outstanding development lead to work on the Amalga platform. You will be managing a team working on the design and development of core technologies across the Amalga data processing spectrum. This includes data aggregation, data access and access control infrastructures; and data access APIs and developer tools. You will have the opportunity to work in a new and rapidly growing business with talented software engineers and medical domain experts. You will leverage and interface with current and emerging technologies like SQL Server, WCF, Active Directory, OData, Azure and HL7. Responsibilities include product architecture, feature design and implementation, technical leadership, incubation of ideas, and collaborating with partner teams to achieve results. You will be expected to mentor and lead engineers in a cross-functional feature crew. In addition you must deliver detailed architecture and implementation documents and schedules for your feature areas that account for dependencies. You will ensure a high level of code quality and will develop team processes and champion best practices across the organization.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial product development experience, design and implementation ownership of complex software features.
- 3+ years of experience as a Development Lead or Technical Lead is required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of design patterns and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework are essential and experience with C/C++ is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with enterprise platforms, SQL Server, data modeling, WCF, WIF, Silverlight and PowerShell preferred.
- A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
