Principle Software Engineer - (Job Code 89 AA) Accumetrics

Job Summary
This individual will develop software for real-time embedded systems, including unit, integration, and system testing. As a member of the Engineering team, they will perform full software life-cycle tasks, including requirements analysis, risk analysis, design, implementation, integration, test, and maintenance. This individual will exercise judgment within generally defined procedures and practices to make or modify decisions required to meet product quality and timeline needs in areas of responsibility.

They will work closely with R&D project leader and personnel from other functional areas to successfully recommend, design, implement and test complex software programs in support of R&D projects.

Job Requirements

B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with five or more years experience in direct product development. A minimum of 5 years experience in a FDA regulated Medical Device, Biotech or Pharmaceutical organization is required.
Experience with C/C++ object oriented environments is essential.
Experience with pre-emptive multitasking applications for instrument control.
Knowledge of at least two other programming languages ? such as LabVIEW, MATLAB or SQL and one formal notation for software architecture, such as UML, and architectural design patterns.
Working knowledge of the FDA Quality System Regulation.
Understand defect prevention methodologies and software testing techniques and the Software Development Life-Cycle model for software development.
Experience with software development for data acquisition, real time devices, software quality assurance, instrumental measurement and control along with SQL Server or similar Database Management System experience.
