DESCRIPTION
The Print Production Coordinator manages the production process from quoting to delivery of the final traditional print piece. This position works closely with the marketing manager to create specifications and give examples of viable print materials and prepress advice, as well as quotes for budgeting and planning purposes. The ideal candidate has basic understanding of Adobe and Quark programs, Microsoft Office Suite, file formats for print and prepress processes. This position also monitors quality of work delivered by vendors to ensure standards are being met and develops print production cost saving initiatives, improving efficiency while maintaining quality.
Responsibilities:
Manages the production process from front to end
Creates specifications and gives input to material choices
Approve vendor bids and creates purchase orders for the Marketing team as well as provides budgetary support to the channel. Oversees the accrual process for their print jobs.
Manages the fulfillment process for store point of sale materials. Maintains the kit listings and item listing at the fulfillment warehouse with input from marketing and business development.
Launches new kits and collateral items to stores and helps support the Partner Services team with any inventory and fulfillment questions
Monitors inventory and shipments for launches as well as after launch fulfillment
Manage multiple projects simultaneously using multiple external vendors and delivering projects by scheduled delivery dates. Reports on shipments, inventory levels and ordering.
Works closely with other operations team members on coordinating ship dates for reprints and new pieces
Works closely with Marketing as well as Business Development on timelines and delivery methods for new collateral pieces
Support internal teams on print and fulfillment related questions
Quality control of print pieces and improve efficiency
Skills/Education/Experience:
One or more years of print project management skills, preferably in a fast-paced operational environment
Demonstrated success in managing multiple print projects simultaneously
Ability to collaborate internally to achieve projects on time and within budget
Knowledgeable with Adobe and Office Suite, ftp, file formats for traditional media
Prepress and vendor management experience
Direct Mail experience, understanding of postal requirements and mailing specifications
Budgeting and bid experience, Oracle financial experience preferred
Print scheduling and prepress experience
Inventory and fulfillment experience; ProMail experience preferred
Strong people, time management and organizational skills and discipline; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
