Process Control Engineer NanoTune Technologies
Responsibilities will include:
Implement oven and furnace heating process automation
Design and implement equipment for heating treatment in oven and furnace
Develop and execute treatment method for polymerization & carbonization process
Design scale up pilot plant for automatic and reduced cost manufacturing process
Safely handle hazardous chemical in container transfer, process reaction/chemical synthesis, and waste handling
Safely handle various extremely exothermic and combustible reactions and having accurate chemical synthesis skill
Characterize the amorphous/crystalline microstructure of material and impurities
Operate moisture and oxygen control chamber for electrode production and assembly
Develop method for supercapacitor & battery cell packaging
Utilize skills in glovebox operation, LabView automation software, BET surface area & pore analyzer, TGA/DSC/TMA thermal analysis, RLC digibridge, design and build an experimental apparatus for a targeted measurement, handle very fragile hydrogel materials, methods of impregnating, extracting, and drying solutions from polymeric materials, liquid transfer using peristaltic pumps, and chemical solutions preparation
This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Position requires skills in glovebox operation, LabView automation software, BET surface area & pore analyzer, TGA/DSC/TMA thermal analysis, RLC digibridge, design and build an experimental apparatus for a targeted measurement, handle very fragile hydrogel materials, methods of impregnating, extracting, and drying solutions from porous polymeric materials, liquid transfer using peristaltic pumps, and chemical solutions preparation

This position prefers a Master/Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Electrochemistry, Material Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Position requires hands-on expertise in precious metal materials, electrode materials, and electrochemistry for Lithium-Ion & Polymer Batteries, Ultracapacitors and energy storage development.
