Position Purpose:
To develop a control strategy and defining system architecture to support the Basic Regulatory and Advanced Process Control for an integrated bio-refinery (Gasification, Bio-Fermentation and Ethanol Separation portions of the plant).
To acquire complete knowledge and understanding of Coskata?s process technology in order to develop the guidelines, standards and design of a fully integrated process control system required for a commercial scale facility. In support of Coskata?s business model, the designs must be compiled in such a way that replication and standardization can be leveraged in future installations.
Position Accountabilities:
Develop the Process Control system design philosophy for all Coskata plants, with the appropriate balance of Basic Regulatory and Advanced Process Control.
Develop the preferred Control System architecture and own the Control System functional specification for Coskata plants (owned and licensed).
Define the scope and appropriate level of detail to be provided for Coskata licensees and their designated engineering company as part of the Basic Engineering Design package released by Coskata.
Effectively articulate the Coskata Plant Process Control philosophy to Coskata licensees and designated engineering companies and provide follow-up technical support as required during project execution.
Provide support for Coskata Operations and Technical Services personnel in troubleshooting and resolving field problems with instrument loop tuning, software, hardware and electronic control and analytical equipment.
Provide technical consulting, direction and training for less experienced Process Control and Field Operating Engineers.
Provide support for Project Engineering teams as needed for commercial projects
Position Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline.
10+ years of applicable experience.
Demonstrated capabilities in field troubleshooting of basic control system equipment, systems development, process optimization and advanced automation methodology
