Zosano Pharma is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Process Development Technician. In this capacity, the individual will participate in the scale-up of a novel drug delivery device from small scale clinical production to commercial manufacturing. This individual will assist other process scientists and engineers with a variety of tasks including material preparation, measurement of in-process intermediates, execution of experiments, and preparation of GMP documentation. This position requires that the individual work closely with Equipment Engineering, System Design, Quality Control, and other functional groups so candidates must be able to work in a cross functional environment. Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: liquid drug formulation, inspection and measurement with an optical microscope, qualification of tooling and equipment, AutoCad or Solidworks, statistical process control or DOE. Excellent communication skills are required. Preparation and inspection of experimental materials are a core responsibility of this job, and candidates are required to dedicate a large portion of their time to these tasks.
Prepare experimental materials.
Assist with the execution of experiments.
Assist with qualifications and validations.
Contribute to technical reports to document and summarize findings.
Assist with the troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
Author and maintain clinical and manufacturing production documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
Maintain schedules and coordinate activities across functions.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma with 5+ years of experience in a related technical field. We will also consider candidates with BS / BA degree in a related technical field with no previous experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
