The Business Analyst plays a critical role within the organization by providing reporting and analytical support for Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Sales departments. The Operations department is a highly collaborative group that encourages team members to take on new responsibilities and promotes continuous learning.
Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Business Analyst will perform cross-functional business analysis, maintain critical operational reports and utilize technology to streamline processes. Additionally, the Business Analyst will work with Engineering and IT to understand all data sources and help drive firm-wide integration of the Business Intelligence tool.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate performance of sales, marketing, and operational business units
? Disseminate reports and analysis to facilitate decision making that drives profitability and growth
? Assist with various ad hoc analyses ranging from previous service delivery, potential new markets, customer behavior, and customer satisfaction
? Learn/master the Business Intelligence tool, including building reports, analyzing data and working with the Product/Engineering departments to maintain strong support for the BI tool-based reports
? Review reports and analyses to ensure underlying data reconciles to trusted sources and to reinforce zero error reputation for published and high-profile deliverables
? Communicate results to functional leadership and provide visibility into details of underlying work
?BS degree (Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred)
?Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients
?Strong MS Excel experience (e.g., lookup formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling)
?Ability to multi-task and take accountability
?A self-starter who likes to see the big picture, but also enjoys getting into the details
?A strong communicator (oral and written), who is inquisitive , enthusiastic and personable and demonstrates high attention to detail
? Experience using MS Access, SQL, Business Intelligence tools
