The Role

Perform process sustaining for the manufacturing line on variety of mechanical and chemical processes, tasks including disposition of non-conformance materials that come from the manufacturing line, response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, and qualify new equipment and process that being introduced into the manufacturing line. Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures. Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Disposition of all non-conformance materials that produced by the manufacturing line.
• Day to day coverage of production line process, including rapid response on out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity.
• Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve process Cpk and product yield.
• Maintain and help develop up-to-date maintenance and calibration procedures and schedules.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure maintenance instructions and schedules are always available and current.
• Will support both day and swing shift manufacturing schedule (Some weekends and holiday required).
• Responsible with parts and tools inventory.
• Manage repairs/troubleshooting exactly to instructed process.
• Manage small projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors.
• Manage workload with positive attitude and proactively help co-workers.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree on Electronic or some technical certificate is a plus.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team oriented work environment.
• 5-8 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Skilled at troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated experience with 3-phase 480/208 VAC, single-phase 208/120 VAC, and 24 VDC systems.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment preferred.
• Skilled with the use of a variety of hand and portable tools, as well as general machining and welding experience.
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills..
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc).
• Able to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Basic drafting experience preferred. (SolidWorks experience a plus.).
• Availability for occasional off-hours calls.
