Processor Architect - Next Generation Manycore Tilera
How would you like to be part of a small team of CPU architects, start with a clean slate and create the most innovative next generation manycore processor on the market?
This is an opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges in ground-breaking processor architecture, but also make a significant impact on the future of Tilera, a fast-growing, privately held semiconductor company, with an R &D center in Westborough, MA.
You will work with the architect team to translate market requirements of optimal performance versus power consumption into a working microarchitecture, helping Tilera continue to create scalable compute platforms that enable our customers to build high-performance and low-power embedded systems.
Critical elements such as the cache-coherent interconnect architecture, multicore integration, on-chip accelerator architecture and SOC design will be part of your purview.
During definition phase, you will work cooperatively with the Architecture, Software, and Marketing teams to specify features of the next-generation processor design. During the execution phase, you will define the microarchitecture and work with physical design/ verification teams to insure quality design and timing closure.
As an architect in a small company environment, you will also work with other team members contributing across a variety of tasks, including design verification, silicon bring-up and debug and application/system software tuning.

Bachelor or Master?s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Minimum 10 years working experience in deploying successful processors with specific skill in:
o Cache architecture
o Multi-processor coherence
o Timing closure
o Power optimization
Excellent teamwork skills within Architecture, other engineering, marketing and sales people
Willingness to cut across functional areas to support successful development as needed
