LiveOps is searching for a Procurement Manager to manage the purchasing needs of a $100M+ nationwide business. The role will be responsible for negotiating
various types of agreements and purchases of equipment and services (including computer hardware, software, networking and telecom equipment). In addition,
this person will investigate alternatives, review cost effectiveness, solicit bids and negotiate with suppliers. Focus will be on the procurement and negotiation of telecom service agreements, professional services, marketing vendors, software licensing agreements, and hardware/maintenance contracts. The Procurement Manager will oversee the negotiating, structuring, and management of contractual documents for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Source, evaluate and recommend potential suppliers
Act as liaison in daily interactions with suppliers, vendors, purchasing team, and global deployments group
Resolve receiving and accounts payable discrepancies
Vendor Management in SAP
Perform first level support to investigate and resolve order problems (both internal and external)
Develops and trains client organizations on contracting policy
Works with the Vice President Finance and other department managers to establish the strategic direction for the Procurement organization
Innovate on the current vendor management and sourcing process
Manage the Purchase Order process from approval to invoice payment and follow up on open purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate with internal customers
Participate in creating risk assessments
Monitor contracts for adherence to company policy and regulatory compliance, and for maintenance expiration
Assist in resolving issues relating to supplier performance or deviations from original work estimates
Develop and deliver continuous improvements in the quality, cost, delivery and support of services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven years of buying experience including recent experience with technology purchasing
Procurement experience working in technology (understanding of hardware, software, networking and cellular services, and SOWs (statements of work) for professional services
Minimum three years experience negotiating complex telecom carrier
contracts
Previous cost savings responsibilities and success saving millions of dollars for a commercial enterprise
Ability to interpret and utilize key financial data to recommend continual cost savings opportunities
Demonstrated skill in planning and leading negotiations, and have experience in structuring and managing supplier contracts
Experienced establishing and building successful supplier relationships
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Self Starter
Ability to set priorities, plan work, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
BA or BS degree with Certified Purchasing Manager Certification preferred
SAP or other ERP system experience preferred
Experience with automated workflows a plus
