The Account Manager, Financial Services is responsible for the development, sales/sales support and client management of dedicated Financial Services (FS) products distributed through multiple channels (including traditional retail, specialty retail, financial institutions, third party agents, B2B and online).
This specific role consists of approximately 60% account management of current key client(s), and 40% new business and product development.
FS Client Account Management:
Develop strong ongoing relationships with our direct/unique FS clients:
understanding their current business strategies and their position in the marketplace;
generating regular and ad hoc sales reports;
providing competitive product and market comparisons;
analyzing and understanding market trends and their impact on the client;
communication of new product availability;
helping to develop sales/promotional activities and strategic plans to drive revenues;
transforming the needs of the client into a realistic project to meet their expectations.
Develop a thorough understanding of the product profitability/cost drivers.
Grow business/product through new and creative functions and initiatives to increase profit and meet budget expectations.
Business Development, Sales and Marketing Support:
Support the Retail Sales team to expand the distribution of FS products:
client visits, to maintain an understanding of current business, customer behavior and competitive environment;
preparation of sales presentations/proposals;
develop internal awareness of financial card programs;
communicating FS strategy and new products;
acting as a conduit between Retail Sales and FS teams;
Perform business feasibility assessments on new distribution, program and product opportunities and ensure only viable opportunities are presented to senior management.
Manage projects and deliverables to support existing and new sales channels and products.
Support new business opportunities for the FS product suite through multiple
distribution channels ? currently includes FS retailers, payroll, currency exchange
Travel - business travel will be required ? primarily in Canada (mainly between Vancouver and Toronto) and the US.
participate in the development and maintenance of all FS Sales and Marketing materials as required.
Share knowledge and experience and providing training to InComm counterparts internationally.
Strong communication, client management and relationship building skills.
Excellent attention to detail - comfortable analyzing data, performing gap analysis, trouble shooting and completing forms.
Previous experience working with clients in the card payment industry (in banking, transaction processing, payment, retail or corporate environments).
Experience working within a software development/IT company.
Bachelor degree or relevant work equivalent experience.
Two (2) to three (3) years of operational management or business analyst experience.
Demonstrated advanced experience using MS Office software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email.
Strong ability to conduct presentations independently and create presentations, proposals, RFI/RFP responses etc. (primarily using PowerPoint and Word).
Demonstrated negotiation and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced organization that uses project techniques to keep software development aligned with business needs.
Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently.
Knowledge of prepaid markets in (Canada or globally) a strong asset.
Willingness and ability to travel in Canada and the US
