Overview of Role
The Product Analyst role offers an opportunity to research and direct our product development on internal software tools.
The candidate will take on all product management responsibilities, working with internal customers and a team of software architects, engineers, and database admins. The products are mostly internal tools and can be fairly complex, so understanding and having a passion for technology is a must. We use Scrum and Agile, mostly on .NET.
This position is a unique opportunity for candidates excited about leveraging technology to develop internal tools, with the opportunity for growth, and of course someone looking to work with fun people who are committed to helping fans gain access to tickets to the best live events in the world!
Responsibilities:
Analyzing product performance: How well is this product working? Have the improvements we made had an impact? Are there any clear issues with usability? The product analyst will rigorously analyze product data as well as results from user testing to answer these kinds of questions.
Creating product specifications: Gathering requirements and grasping users? needs are key to designing and improving products. The product analyst will digest and simplify requirements and translate them into a clear, comprehensive specification which can be executed.
Maintaining product backlog: Once products have been released, the product analyst will be responsible for keeping track of all issues and potential improvements that become apparent, so that they can be addressed in the next iteration of the product.
Project management: The product analyst will co-ordinate the various groups involved in the introduction or change of a product (design, technology etc.) to ensure products are released on schedule.
Other: Take on additional responsibilities as the company tests and rolls out new products and services.
Skills and Attributes:
Highly analytical with attention to detail
Strong technical skills, and also motivated to develop new technical and other skills
Comfortable working with engineering to discuss trade-offs between different designs
Programming experience a plus
Strong quantitative ability, including experience with Excel and data analysis
Excellent communication and people skills
Innovative ? the ability to understand users? needs and think creatively to find a solution
A sense of humor and positive, ?make-it-work? attitude
Flexibility ? we?re still growing quickly so things (e.g., our needs, processes) change all the time
Located in or around the San Francisco Bay Area ? we will not relocate candidates
Must be eligible to work in the US
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in product management or a similar role involving heavy use of technology, critical thinking, data analysis, and extensive collaboration with others
Experience with scrum and agile a plus
Bachelor?s Degree from a four year accredited college
