Description
We are currently seeking a Product Analyst for Picis Inc., part of OptumInsight, a division of UnitedHealth Group. Picis provides innovative information solutions that enable rapid and sustained delivery of clinical, financial and operational results in the acute care areas of hospitals.
You will be responsible for translating market requirements into detailed product specifications for new and existing applications that are used to manage the Perioperative and ICU environments. Working directly with product management, engineering and customers, you will design workflows which will lead to UI flows and define the concepts and logical architecture, as well as any constraints.
You will represent the clinical users of our products: the nurses, physicians, and other clinicians who provide care in these high acuity areas.
Essential duties:
Own the periop and critical care user personas.
Prepare software requirement specifications for clinical features in the periop/critical care products, including user stories, use cases, workflows, UI flows, concepts, and logical architecture.
Be the guardian of patient safety for these products, conducting risk analyses of new features and analyzing complaints.
Own the features of the software: you will be the Picis feature expert, responsible for knowing how they work.
Review the planning of Software Quality test cases, documentation, curriculum, and localization for the clinical features.
Be the lead on the triaging of defects and planning of service packs.
This is a telecommuter opportunity and can be located anywhere in the US close to a major airport.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience in a perioperative/ICU environment.
Experience analyzing and documenting clinical workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience designing solutions (not necessarily software solutions) to perioperative problems.
Ability to travel up to 25
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience in the perioperative environment.
Recent experience in the ICU environment.
Experience using or designing other perioperative systems.
Experience designing other transactional systems.
Clinical informatics or analytics experience.
Experience within an FDA-regulated environment.
Skills in UI design.
Agile software development experience
