Product Design Summer Intern Compass
Compass combines exceptional agents with thoughtfully crafted digital products to make the process of buying, selling, or renting a home intelligent and seamless.
Learn how our products are designed and built as part of a small, nimble design team in a friendly and collaborative environment. Working with a suite of more than a dozen products, you?ll gain hands-on experience in everything from user research ? to learn how we learn from our users ? to specifying and designing an essential feature that can be adapted for use across a range of applications. You?ll learn about designing within a system and optimizing products for web and mobile, and for both agents and customers. Some of the opportunities we?re currently designing for include improving our tools to help buyers make better decisions through data and communication tools that simplify how agents exchange information with customers from the initial lead through deal closing.
At Compass we?re building the future of real estate. Design great things with us.
At Compass You Will:
Working alongside designers, develop features of core products like search and listings, which are universal components that span across multiple platforms and product verticals
Design individual components and systems that are universal in nature yet are optimized for specific platforms, e.g., iOS, Android, and web
Build a strong understanding of the nuances of each platform and how to leverage them to build more powerful products
Focus on systematic design, making sure that every decision you make lends itself to every platform and screen size
Learn how to take complex data and construct it in an intuitive and easy-to-digest way so that our users can better understand the real estate landscape

Team-oriented with the talent to blossom in a collaborative environment
An understanding (or interesting in learning) how your designs are translated into multiple screens and multiple platforms
A clear, well-organized online portfolio, including process work (school and personal projects acceptable)
