Product Designer: Internal Tools Etsy
Product Designers lead Design and UX for projects and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and the rest of the design team to deliver clean and consistent user experiences.
At Etsy, our Product Design team is responsible for wearing many hats at once: from high-level product thinking, to interaction flows and just-enough mockups, all the way to front-end implementation (html and css). We work with and across every team at Etsy - Product, Engineering, Support, Business, Operations and Marketing - to develop and ship a meaningful, cohesive experience for our community.
This position is based in Brooklyn, NY.
About the Team
One of the most important components in building a successful marketplace is building the internal tools required to allow us to effectively and efficiently give our members the support and features that they need. While our members aren?t always exposed to this side of our work, they definitely benefit from it. On the Internal Tools Team, you'll create products with the same rigor and expectations that go into the rest of the marketplace.

Can provide examples of work that demonstrate: 1) strong visual design skill 2) flawless typography 3) ability to solve UX problems 4) ability to work within an existing visual system 5) ability to create scalable patterns.
Love giving and receiving honest, thoughtful feedback.
Unafraid of change and iterating work in the pursuit of better design solutions.
Affection for qualitative and quantitative analysis to help measure the impact and success of your work.
Ability to lead communication across teams and match marketing objectives with the core product experience.
Believe that product and design decisions are inextricably linked.
We're growing rapidly and are well funded with a proven business model and established revenue to help us continue growing and serving our community. If you're interested in joining the team at Etsy, please send a cover letter along with your portfolio, telling us what inspires you about Etsy and why you think you are perfect for the team (applications without a cover letter and portfolio will not be considered). If you contribute to an open source project, write a blog, or practice another craft besides designing beautiful, functional websites, that means something to us, and we would love to hear about it!
