What We?re Looking For:
The Product Development Manager will serve as a senior expert combining expertise with new technologies, development knowledge, market analysis and end?user feedback to establish a product vision and partner with Development, QA and stakeholders to deliver world?class solutions.
This individual will work closely with the stakeholders to understand what the needs are in terms of launching and supporting product concepts, translating those needs into technical requirements that provide a clear roadmap to the development team and successfully bringing the product to market.
What You?ll Be Responsible For:
Guide Products throughout the full SDLC lifecycle
Drive a solution set from conception to implementation by developing a business case, use cases, visual prototypes and design specifications
Transform vision of product team to measurable deliverables for QA and Software Development teams
Read organizational business model and build out from technology perspective
Facilitate communication across tech team and internal stakeholders
Working across vendors and conducting regular status calls
Maintain documentation for all project aspects
Serve as liaison between Content Production/delivery and TechDev
Work alongside the engineering team to set development priorities, define and implement a product roadmap through initial launch and subsequent releases
Be the product champion on LMS and related tools recognizing/communicating the value and shortcomings of the product through your expertise and education
Display market expertise by articulating the needs, challenges and direction of the higher education community
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Candidates who possess both higher education/higher education technology and project/product management backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Must have knowledge of, and experience in, higher education academic processes
Experience with higher education technology products strongly preferred
5 years experience in project management required, specific project management experience working with SDLC strongly preferred
Experience managing partnerships with component and solution providers.
Bachelor?s degree required
Advanced degree preferred; MBA or Education related advanced degree strongly preferred
