The Product Development Project Manager is the owner of the Systech product release process and schedules, and manages the successful coordinated launch of each product line. In addition, this role is responsible for overseeing the involvement of Product Development resources in any Business Development and customer prototyping projects. The Project Manager has access to resources in all departments to achieve successful product launch.
As Project Manager, you will guide a team that is charged with ensuring our products meet internally and externally committed to standards and to manage the risk, communication and cross team collaboration around those activities. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy as well as project focused execution; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must be an effective facilitator and detailed orientated to ensure the successful coordination of product activities.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company as this will be a very visible role. You will work with a product managers, engineering, quality assurance, customer support, training, professional services, finance and others to define product release requirements and execution. You will also serve as the internal and external coordinator for the product offerings, working with business development, OEMs, sales channel and key customers occasionally.
The Project Manager is expected to be execution focused and coordinating all the stakeholders in the Launch activities.
Managing the relevant Product Managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of approved roadmap deliverables as needed for other teams
Managing the readiness of other teams to receive the Product Management deliverables
Tracking milestones and deliverables by OEMs, Partners, Customers where appropriate
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management and tracking of all Systech product releases
Software, Hardware, Documentation and Services
Coordinating of the
Cross functional launch teams (different contributors will be involved based on the release)
Product Development deliverables in Business development and professional service projects
Product Release plan
Product Development deliverable plan
Product Launch project plans
Product release schedules for SD and QA
Product Releases (GA, Hot Fix, Customer Specific, Early Adopter)
Escalation tracking and routing
Change management tracking and notification processes
Creation, review and approval of
Knowledgeable in a wide range of packaging industry regulations and processes desirable
This position may require travel to customer and non-customer sites (10%)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of software engineering project management or PMO experience.
Knowledgeable in technology
Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus
Experience with product management methodologies and product launch and release activities
Solid project management experience required
Experience with Confluence and Jira a strong plus
Must have working knowledge and experience using e-mail, Internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
